The T20 Cricket World Cup Final is one of the most exciting events around. On March 8, 2026, fans of the sport are in for a treat with an India vs New Zealand match. This is the first time that these two teams have met at a World Cup Final.
With that in mind, here are the top records for the most runs scored by a batter, most 4s, and most 6s hit by a batter in a T20 Cricket World Final Match.
Most Runs Scored by a Batter in a Final (Has Any Batter Hit a Century?)
There have been many valiant knocks in a T20 Cricket World Cup Final. Surprisingly, no batter has ever scored a century in a World Cup Final Match.
The highest score that a batter has knocked in a World Cup Final match was 85. Two batters have achieved this feat. Kane Williamson of New Zealand (during the 2021 Final) and Marlon Samuels of West Indies (in 2016).
However, Sanju Samson has just broken that record with an 89-run knock in the 2026 World Cup Final against New Zealand.
| Rank | Player (Team & Year) | Runs Scored |
| 1 | Sanju Samson (India, 2026) | 89 |

Most 4s Scored in a T20 Cricket World Cup Final
While hitting a 4 isn’t as glamorous as a 6, it’s a vital part of winning cricket matches. Much like Williamson is a top batter in terms of high score, he’s knocked a record of 10 4s in a World Cup Final.

Most 6s Scored in a World Cup Final
The most exciting hit for a batter is knocking a maximum out of the park for six runs. Much like Samson broke the record for the highest score in a World Cup Match, he has broken the record for 6s in a World Cup Match, too.
| Rank | Name (Team & Year) | 6s |
| 1 | Sanju Samson (India, 2026) | 8 |

| 9 | Ishan Kishan (India, 2026) | 4 |
| 10 | Axar Patel (India, 2024) | 4 |
Not to be done by his teammate, Ishan Kishan knocked four 6s of his own in the 2026 T20 World Cup Final for India. Tim Seifert of New Zealand got into the fray by knocking five 6s of his own.
