However, Murray left the game with an injury.
He is now questionable to return.
The Denver Nuggets wrote: “Injury Update: Jamal Murray is questionable to return to tonight’s game with a Left Ankle Sprain”
Following the news, the Nuggets announced that they would start a different player in the second half.
Underdog NBA wrote: “Lineup alert: Julian Strawther starts second half for injured Jamal Murray on Friday.”

Strawther currently has two points, two rebounds and one assist while shooting 1/3 from the field in 13 minutes of playing time.
He is in his third NBA season after being selected 29th in 2023.
Right now, the 23-year-old is averaging 7.3 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.1 assists per contest while shooting 46.0% from the field and 33.3% from three-point range in 40 games.

As for Murray, he is in the middle of another productive season with averages of 25.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, 7.3 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 48.4% from the field and 43.2% from three-point range in 58 games.
He made his first career All-Star Game last month.
Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints wrote: “Looks like Jamal Murray just sustained a pretty bad sprained ankle and had to be helped off the court in Denver.
The Nuggets can’t catch a break with injuries, as Murray departs the day Aaron Gordon returns.”
Denver Nuggets This Season

The Nuggets came into the night as the fifth seed in the Western Conference with a 39-24 record in 63 games.
They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak (and have won five out of their last ten).
Following the Knicks, the Nuggets will play their next game on Monday when they visit the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Last season, they lost to the Thunder in the second round of the 2025 NBA playoffs.
