Right before Tuesday’s game, the Lakers announced that Hayes had been ruled out.
Trevor Lane of Lakers Nation wrote: “Jaxson Hayes (left foot soreness) has been downgraded to OUT for tonight’s game vs. Oklahoma City.”
Hayes is in the middle of his third season playing for the Lakers.
He is currently averaging 7.5 points and 4.1 rebounds per contest while shooting 75.6% from the field in 66 games.
Hayes’ NBA Background
Hayes was the eighth pick in the 2019 NBA Draft out of Texas.
He had spent the first four years of his career playing for the New Orleans Pelicans.
His career averages are 6.9 points and 4.0 rebounds per contest while shooting 66.5% from the field in 433 games.

Hayes has been a productive role player for the Lakers this season, so losing him against the Thunder could cause problems.
He had scored 12+ points in three out of the last four games.

The Lakers come into the night as the fourth seed in the Western Conference with a 50-28 record in 78 games.
They are in the middle of a two-game losing streak (and 7-3 over their last ten).
After the Thunder, the Lakers will head to San Francisco to play Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors (on Thursday).
