Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James could be injured, the LA Times suggested.

The LA Lakers received some bad news just before halftime of Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinals as LeBron James twisted his ankle at the 0.4 mark of the second quarter.

James was defending a pick-and-roll between Thunder’s Ajay Mitchell and Chet Holmgren, only to twist his right ankle after the pass, which resulted in a turnover for OKC.

James managed to stay on the floor and attempt a Hail Mary shot before the first half buzzer, but he walked gingerly towards the Lakers’ locker room.

James finished the first half with 10 points and six rebounds on 3-of-9 shooting from the field as the Lakers trailed 49-45 at halftime.

There is no update yet about the severity of the twisted ankle.

While there are no specifics about his future yet, James, the oldest active player in the league,  could be playing his final game in his 23-year-long NBA career.

The Lakers are down 0-3 in the series. Prior to the series, James has only been swept three times in his NBA playoff career.

The Lakers came out swinging early, leading by five after the first quarter, 26-21, earning a standing ovation from the LA crowd.

Yet, they allowed the Thunder to pull away with a 17-0 start in the second frame to take back control.

The Lakers must now find the sme groove they had in the first period to steal momentum and potentially snag one game in the series.
