raft classes for all 32 NFL teams are officially set. With the draft in the rearview mirror, the focus shifts onto preparing for the fall. Minicamps and OTAs open soon followed by a summer break ahead of the start of training camp in late July. Once training camp begins, that is when excitement for the new season really kicks into high gear. But before any of that can happen, players need jersey numbers and now with minicamp rosters close to set, it is time for teams to begin assigning numbers to their new players.
For the Jacksonville Jaguars, a lot of new faces will take the field for them this year, including a 10 player draft class. And on Wednesday, April 29, the Jaguars announced jersey numbers for their incoming rookies, and even announced some number changes for a few veterans.
Jaguars’ Rookie Numbers
All 10 draft picks and all 18 undrafted free agents got their numbers, according to the Jaguars’ website. The numbers assigned now are not necessarily the numbers that the players will wear in the season. Rosters at this time of the year are much larger than in the regular season and with cuts and players making the roster, numbers will change.
Jaguars’ Veteran Numbers
While the rookies were the main focus for number assignments, multiple veterans got new jersey numbers as well. Below is the full list of Jaguars’ veterans who will wear a different number in 2026. Old numbers are in parentheses.
CB Montaric Brown – #1 (30)
CB Jarrian Jones – #4 (22)
RB LeQuint Allen Jr. – #5 (36)
S Antonio Johnson – #6 (26)
DB Cam’Ron Silmon-Craig – #42 (24)
Jersey numbers are very meaningful in sports, especially since a lot of players choose numbers for a specific reason and those numbers become synonymous with those players. But with rosters constantly changing, and the number of players on each time growing, changes happen.
