The Las Vegas Raiders are expected to hire Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak as their next head coach after the conclusion of the Super Bowl. Raiders fans are, however, still on edge because a deal between Kubiak and the Raiders cannot be finalized until after the Super Bowl.

Kubiak, despite coming to an agreement with the Raiders, is solely focused on the game with the Seattle Seahawks against the New England Patriots.

“I’m just focusing on playing this game and coaching this game,” Kubiak told Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic. “Been working my whole life to get to coach in this game, and that’s where our focus is.”

Nonetheless, it’s not a finalized deal between Kubiak and the Raiders, but Seahawks general manager John Schneider recently put Raiders fans’ worries to rest.

John Schneider Comments on Klint Kubiak x Raiders

In an interview during Super Bowl Opening Night, Schneider leaked what many Raiders fans want to hear, and don’t want to wait another week for:

“Obviously, you see Klint going to the Raiders now.”

Again, it’s not actually official, but when the general manager says something like that, you can’t ignore it. Barring any crazy turn of events, Kubiak will for sure become the next head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders.

Here’s how his offense stacks up against the rest of the NFL:

“Seattle ranked third in points (28.4 per game), eighth in total yards (351.4), tied for 10th in rushing yards (123.3), eighth in passing yards (228.1), 13th in offensive efficiency (50.76) and 15th in EPA (30.86),” ESPN’s Ryan McFadden wrote.

Kubiak is also a finalist for the Associated Press Assistant Coach of the Year award. The Raiders were making a lot of fans nervous after becoming one of just two teams without a head coach, but the organization believes the wait will be worth it with Kubiak.

Will Kubiak Lure in any Seahawks Free Agents to Las Vegas?

Something that hasn’t been talked about a whole lot is whether Kubiak would want the Raiders to sign any free agents from Seattle. If there’s one that will make him a happy man, it’s wide receiver and All-Pro return man, Rashid Shaheed.

Seattle traded a 2026 fourth- and fifth-round pick to the New Orleans Saints for Shaheed midseason, and he’s blossomed into one of the most dangerous playmakers in the NFL with his big-play ability and speed.

Las Vegas Review-Journal’s Adam Hill also sees the vision with the Raiders bringing in Shaheed during free agency.

“In addition to watching Klint Kubiak call plays on Sunday, Raiders fans should probably pay very close attention to Rashid Shaheed, who Kubiak loves and is about to hit free agency.”

Shaheed has definitely improved his stock this season, and could see a huge pay raise. Spotrac has him pinned at a projected annual value of $14.1 million. The Raiders, with the second most cap space in the NFL at $87.8 according to Spotrac, have the funds necessary to bring in Shaheed and provide Kubiak with a familiar face on offense.
