The Tennessee Titans are wasting no time in strengthening the roster after their preseason win against the Seattle Seahawks.
After beating the Super Bowl champs in Week 2 of preseason, the team has announced the signing of linebacker Reid Carrico.
The linebacker originally signed with the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent after the 2026 draft, but was waived before the start of preseason.
Carrico last played for the West Virginia Mountaineers, recording 69 total tackles (8 for loss), 4.5 sacks and a pass deflection. In his time in college, the linebacker has registered 128 tackles.
Now on the Titans, Reid Carrico will serve as a replacement for another LB that was placed on the injured reserve (IR) list.

The linebacker position has been a priority for the Tennessee Titans this offseason, by bringing in multiple through free agency and the draft.
Tennessee has also announced that Milo Eifler, who was signed last week, has been placed on IR to make room for Reid Carrico.
Eifler last played for the Arizona Cardinals in the 2024 season, featuring twice for the NFC West team and did not record a single tackle.
Having stops with the Washington Commanders and the Atlanta Falcons, the linebacker has registered just four tackles across his four-year career.
Milo Eifler now in IR could spell the end of his season and his tenure with the Titans. The LB was already lower on the depth chart and didn’t feature in the latest preseason game.
The Titans linebacker group is already thin and lacks experience; with roster cutdown day coming soon, the team will face hard decisions.

With Week 1 looming, teams will soon start trimming down to 53 players ahead of the deadline day.
When talking to the press on Monday after the preseason win against the Super Bowl Champions, head coach Robert Saleh mentioned that there are still spots up in the air.
“The message is really no different: You can’t focus on the things that are going to happen next Sunday when cut downs happen,” Saleh said, via the Titans. “It’s: ‘What are you doing today to help you be better tomorrow?’ Guys just need to show up, strap up, do the best they can and trust that their best is good enough to be where they want to be.”
“There’s a lot of positions up for grabs… But at the same time, the information is damn near complete. It’s a big week and there’s a lot of things that can move the needle.”
Saleh has mentioned that he is in talks with general manager Mike Borgonzi about roster cuts before making final decisions.
Reid Carrico joins the Titans with little time to impress the coaching staff. But if he participates in the last preseason game and does shine there, he could earn a roster spot with the Titans, or at least a practice squad role.
