The Tennessee Titans are headed in the right direction after the 2025 NFL season.

Robert Saleh is now at the helm of the organization, with former head coach Brian Daboll as the offensive coordinator. The Titans had a strong free agency and draft class, adding Wan’Dale Robinson and Carnell Tate as weapons for Cam Ward.

With things going well, another team in the league is taking notice of the moves the Titans’ front office has been making and is now eyeing a member to become their next general manager.

The Minnesota Vikings parted ways with former general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah after four seasons with the organization. Conducting a search for their next GM, a member of the Tennessee Titans’ front office is being considered by the Vikings.

According to NFL insider James Palmer, the Vikings have requested an interview with Titans assistant general manager Dave Ziegler.

Ziegler has previous general manager experience, having held the role with the Las Vegas Raiders during the 2022 and 2023 seasons.

Before taking the executive role with the Raiders, Ziegler was part of the New England Patriots, winning three Super Bowls with the team, holding four different roles with the organization.

After parting ways with Vegas, Ziegler was a personnel advisor with the New Orleans Saints before getting the assistant GM job in Nashville, as he enters his second season in the role with the Titans.

“I’ve known Dave [Ziegler]… for a long time,” Titans general manager Mike Borgonzi said of Ziegler, via the Titans. “Tremendous people, first of all, very respected in the business, tremendous evaluators. [He] will be a great sounding board for all of us – [he’s] been in the chair before. Just a ton of respect for [him], and I think if you talk to people in the league, you’ll hear the same thing about [him]. Just excited, and they will be a part of the whole process – the college, the pro, getting things aligned and organized. We’re excited to have them.”

Ziegler’s previous general manager experience and his experience in a Super Bowl-winning squad could make the Titans executive a frontrunner for the job in Minneapolis.

But with an internal and external coaching search going on, it will be a long way before Dave Ziegler knows if he will land the job.

Dave Ziegler is just one name that the Minnesota Vikings are considering for their next general manager.

As James Palmer revealed, the Vikings have also requested interviews with San Francisco 49ers assistant general manager FJ Gillen and Buffalo Bills assistant GM Terrance Gray.

It was also reported that Minnesota has requested to interview with LA Rams assistant general manager, John McKay.

Executive vice president of football operations Rob Brzezinski has taken the general manager position for the Vikings following Adofo-Mensah’s dismissal and is another name to consider for the vacant job.
