The Indiana Fever are looking to bounce back from their tough 91-85 loss to the Dallas Wings on Thursday night.

Indiana is about to play a two-game stretch, with games on Saturday and Sunday. First up is the New York Liberty on the road on Saturday. That leaves a lot of questions about how they’ll handle some of their key injuries.

One player they need to monitor is star guard Caitlin Clark, who has a back injury. The question is whether the Fever will protect her through this stretch, when they play four games in six days. Another option is to play her as usual.

The Fever announced the injury report for the Liberty game on Saturday. Clark was first up with a back injury, with her status listed as “probable” and looking good to play.

Indiana’s biggest concern is starting center Aliyah Boston, who is back in the report with a right lower-leg injury. Typically, Boston has been “probable,” but this time she is “questionable,” with her status up in the air.

Backup Fever center Damiris Dantas is also back on the report with a left knee injury. Dantas was listed as NWT (not with team), but she won’t be back this season because she had knee surgery.

Clark is coming off one of her worst games of the season, scoring just 10 points in the loss to the Wings. She also had 9 assists, 4 steals, 1 steal, and 1 block.

For the season, Clark is averaging 21.7 points, 8.3 assists, 3.8 rebounds, and 0.9 steals per game in 33 contests. She is coming off her fourth Player of the Week award, the most in the WNBA.

This is a clash of two of the best teams in the league. The Fever just had their five-game winning streak snapped, but have won eight of the last 10 games.

Clark is a big reason for the success with her scoring and passing. She might have had a down game against the Wings, but she is known for bouncing back in a big way in the next contest.

The Fever will need her and Kelsey Mitchell to step up if Boston can’t play. This will be an epic showdown between two playoff teams trying to improve their seeding before the postseason in over a month.
