It’s felt like a 100 years since Jim Furyk got his last PGA Tour victory.

OK, so it hasn’t been that long, but with a 12-foot birdie putt on the second playoff hole, Furyk snapped a 100-start winless streak to pick up the victory in the RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head, South Carolina.

Furyk outlasted Kevin Kisner, who was looking for his first PGA Tour win.

Both players finished at 18-under 266 before Furyk nailed the winning putt on the par 3 17th.

Furyk immediately dropped his putter and gave an emotional celebration, an uncharacteristic move for the normally reserved 44-year-old.

It was his first win since the PGA Tour Championship in September 2010 at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia.

Masters winner Jordan Spieth finished in a tie for 11th at 10-under 274.
