Despite missing two-straight cuts at the BMW Championship and Irish Open, Rory McIlroy is the world’s top-ranked player and the sportsbooks’ favorite to win next week’s U.S. Open.

McIlroy is the 5/1 favorite for golf’s second major, which gets underway Thursday, June 18, from Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Place, Washington.

World’s No. 2, Jordan Spieth, won the season’s first major with a wire-to-wire victory at the Masters and sits at 7/1.

Dustin Johnson (14/1), Justin Rose (18/1) and The Players Championship winner Rickie Fowler (18/1) are also considered front-runners to win.

Last year’s U.S. Open champion Martin Kaymer is at 33/1, as is Tiger Woods, who is coming off his worst 72-hole performance of his career in the Memorial Tournament.
