U.S. Open 2016 Odds & Field for Oakmont

With the 2016 U.S. Open just a week away, we have a clear picture of who will be favored at the ever-daunting Oakmont Country Club.

Jason Day, who went wire-to-wire in dominant fashion at the Players last month, enters with the shortest odds, followed by Rory McIlroy and Jordan Spieth, who have each also tallied a win since the Masters.

Next on the list is Dustin Johnson, who has been in the Top 10 in seven of 12 events this season but has yet to win. In fact, he’s winless since he three-putted on the 72nd hole to finish second at last year’s US Open but has piled up 11 Top 10’s in 19 events since then, so it feels like he’s due.

Masters champion Danny Willett is tied for 12th shortest odds at 40-to-1, while Phil Mickelson is 28-to-1 to complete his career Grand Slam, and Rickie Fowler, who has missed two cuts in a row, is still only 28-to-1 to capture his first major.
