Action at the 2017 U.S. Figure Skating National Championships continues Friday with the short program for both the men’s and ice dancing disciplines.

On the men’s side, rising 17-year-old star Nathan Chen looks to be past last year’s hip injury, and after taking silver in the Grand Prix Final in December, he looks to be the favorite to capture gold in Kansas City this weekend. He’ll be challenged by 2015 U.S. champ Jason Brown, while defending champion Adam Rippon is out with an injury. You can click here for the men’s short program start order.

For the ice dance, siblings Maia and Alex Shibutani enter as the defending U.S. Champions, while 2015 gold medalists Madison Chock and Evan Bates will also be firmly in the mix. You can click here for the short dance start order.
