The situation in court didn’t pan out the way Victor hoped, as he was given a 10-year sentence. On the way out of the courtroom, he told Nick (Joshua Morrow), Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) that they were “all dead” to him. In terms of Nikki, the site reported that Victor could soon “officially split from her.

Such a move would open up the possibility of a new love interest for Victor. Alicia Coppola — a former Another World actress — has signed on to play Meredith Gates. The character is “a prison doctor who is sympathetic to the criminals she cares for,” reported the site on March 24.

If the Y&R creative brass push forward with Victor’s prison storyline, Meredith could become a relevant part in his life behind bars. Furthermore, if Meredith has clout inside the slammer, she could play an integral role in manipulating the system for Victor.

Meanwhile, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) is “still bent on revenge” despite Victor’s punishment, reported Soaps.com. The site reported that she’ll tell an upset Jack (Peter Bergman) that she’s “going to destroy Newman Enterprises.” Jack tries pleading with Phyllis that her intention will hurt innocent people.
