CMA Awards 2016 Performers

CMA Awards 2016 Performers

The 2016 CMA Awards air tonight at 8 p.m. ET on ABC with hosts Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley taking the stage once again together. It's the 50th anniversary of the event, which puts on an added pressure for the entertainers involved. Brad Paisley explained to ABC: We're tasked with 50 years of retrospective and that's a big task. Because you think back to the incredible performances over the years and we have to relive a few of those, and at the same time, we have to include all of the legends we can possibly include that are still around. It's a balancing act, but however it ends up coming off on Wednesday, just know that we've had a lot of discussions about this and how you pay respects. In honor of the big event, country artist legends, along with newcomers, have come together to create one of the biggest collaborative music videos of all time, titled "Forever Country." The song is a medley of John Denver's "Take Me Home, Country Roads," Willie Nelson's "On the Road Again," and Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You." Many of tonight's performers were included in the production of the song and you can check out the list of artists who participated in the music video by clicking here. This huge collaboration should be a good indication of how many performers are on board for the CMA Awards tonight as well.
