Josimar Cousin: Everything you need to know

The White Sox designated Cousin for assignment Tuesday. Cousin was sent to Double-A Birmingham to begin the 2024 season, but he has yet to make his first appearance of the year. The 26-year-old righty will likely clear waivers and remain in the Barons' rotation for most of the season.

The White Sox optioned Cousin to Double-A Birmingham on Friday. The 25-year-old was added to Chicago's 40-man roster in December, but he was never a likely bet to begin the season in the majors given he has just two appearances above the High-A level. Cousin should spend most of 2024 in Birmingham's rotation.
