When Minnesota visits Nebraska on Saturday afternoon, the run-heavy Gophers will be facing a defensive unit which was just ripped for a Football Championship Subdivision single-game record of 408 rushing yards by Wisconsin’s Melvin Gordon.

Things won’t get much easier for the Cornhuskers, who must deal with Minnesota’s star running back, David Cobb. But the Gophers’ defense can expect much of the same as Nebraska boasts Ameer Abdullah, who has rushed for 1,319 yards.

If you appreciate quality ground games, this is the matchup for you.

The game can be seen on ESPN at noon Eastern. Dave Pasch will handle play-by-play duties with Brian Griese serving as the analyst and Tom Luginbill on the sidelines.
