For some, it’s the last shot to make the Masters field. For others, it’s a final tuneup for golf’s first major of the season.
The PGA Tour is in Texas this week for the Shell Houston Open at the Golf Club of Houston in Humble.
With a few spots left in the field for the 79th Masters Tournament, expect to see those on the bubble bring their “A” games to Texas. Others who have already qualified will be looking to fine tune some things in order to go into Augusta National on a positive note.
The Masters Tournament is from April 9-12.
The Houston Open field boasts a star-studded lineup, highlighted by veterans Phil Mickelson, Sergio Garcia, Lee Westwood, Ernie Els and Padraig Harrington, and the future with Jordan Spieth and Patrick Reed.
