The Chicago Cubs are celebrating like it’s 2003.
Joe Maddon‘s team out-lasted the St. Louis Cardinals, 6-4, on Tuesday afternoon, clinching a spot in the National League Championship Series for the franchise’s first time in 12 years.

With a spot in the World Series on the line, the Cubs, who have now eliminated the only teams that had a better record than them during the regular season, will take on the Los Angeles Dodgers or New York Mets.
