Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick left the game against the Raiders early in the first quarter. He went to dive for yardage on a run and Charles Woodson’s helmet hit his thumb. It is his non-throwing hand but could be a concern for receiving snaps.
Fitzgerald has been ruled out for the rest of the game against the Raiders. It is a ligament injury and no further details have been released.
Geno Smith took over for the Jets at quarterback. Smith went three and out in his first series. It is the first time he has played since recovering from a fractured jaw while getting into an altercation with a former teammate.
Fitzpatrick had been playing as a borderline QB1 in fantasy football. His consistency was valued among fantasy owners. Unless he proves otherwise, Smith has little fantasy value. Hopefully for Fitzpatrick owners the injury is not serious. Keep it here for the latest updates on Fitzpatrick.
