Leicester City haven’t lost consecutive games this year, on their way to 38 points and second place in the table. But today City comes to King Power Stadium, looking to win their first away fixture since September.
If City can take three points today, they’ll be tied with Leicester in the table. Both teams narrowly trail table leader Arsenal.
Injury concerns for both teams factor into today’s match, including the status of Jamie Vardy. Vardy, who leads the Premier League with 15 goals, played with a fever during the Foxes Boxing Day loss to Arsenal. Vardy is expected to return and start in today’s match. The same can’t be said for City’s Vincent Kompany, who attempted to test his injured calf in the final minutes of his team’s win over Sunderland on Boxing Day. It took about ten minutes for Kompany to aggravate the injury, adding another setback to the central defender’s recovery process.
