The plot of an NFL Draft doesn’t usually have too many plot twists, the weirdest of which being questionable picks and last-minute trades.
What happened to Laremy Tunsil is definitely a first.
The former Ole Miss tackle, regarded as one of the best players in this years draft class, had a video posted to his verified Twitter account in the early stages of the 2016 Draft. The video showed Tunsil smoking a bong through a gas mask, then taking off the mask confirming his identity. Tunsil’s draft stock took a hit, and he fell out of the top ten selections.
The video was immediately taken down, and Tunsil’s Twitter was deactivated. But that didn’t keep his name off of Twitter, where the internet showed little remorse for Tunsil’s mishap.
There are questions as to the origin of the video, but Tunsil’s camp is alleging that his account was hacked. Tunsil’s stepfather is currently suing him for defamation stemming from a domestic violence charge earlier this year, and some users have no problem pointing the blame his way.
