The Round of 16 is set for Euro 2016. Groups E and F finished off group play for the tournament. In addition to the top two teams in each group advancing, the four third-place teams were finalized.
Hungary won Group E, and Iceland will advance as the runner-up. Iceland will face England in the Round of 16 while Hungary matches up with Belgium.. Portugal secured one of the third place positions and will play Croatia in the next round.
Italy had already advanced to the Round of 16 as the Group E winner regardless of today’s results. They will face Spain in the next round. Ireland pulled off an incredible upset over Italy to advance via one of the final third place spots. They will take on France.
Belgium defeated Sweden to advance as the second team in Group E.
Slovakia and Northern Ireland had already secured two of the four third place spots. Slovakia will face Germany in the next round. Portugal and Ireland joined them to grab the final two third place positions.
