Hours after it was announced that Roman Reigns had been suspended by the WWE for 30 days, SmackDown taped a new episode last night in Tucson, Arizona. During the episode, which airs this Thursday on the USA Network, the feud between Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose continues, Sheamus fights Apollo Crews, and The Wyatt Family confronts The New Day yet again. However, no reference is made to Roman Reigns’ suspension.
Here are all the spoilers you need to know from this week’s taping of SmackDown via Wrestling Inc.
The show opens with Seth Rollins discussing Monday’s episode of Raw before proceeding to call out Sami Zayn. A match between the two of them is set up as the main event of the evening. Soon, Dean Ambrose strolls in and begins an impromptu episode of Ambrose Asylum, but Rollins gets fed up with Ambrose and promptly leaves the ring.
Cesaro defeats Alberto Del Rio.
Sheamus defeats Apollo Crews.
AJ Styles defeats Jey Uso after The Club once again comes in and helps him.
The New Day defeats The Vaudevillains. Shortly after, The Wyatt Family once again threatens The New Day and tells them to run.
Dana Brooke defeats Becky Lynch. After the match, Charlotte and Dana both take on Becky until Sasha Banks comes out and intervenes.
In the main event, Seth Rollins defeats Sami Zayn. As was the case on Raw, Ambrose sits in on commentary, and Rollins goes after him after the match concludes.
