
The Chicago Cubs continue their hot streak and lead the majors in wins this season. Aside from the Cubs, the Detroit Tigers have been on a hot streak of their own as they continue to move up Heavy's power rankings after being on the outside looking in just a few weeks ago. The Washington Nationals and Texas Rangers are also playing their best as the summer comes to an end. Meanwhile, the San Francisco Giants are heading in the opposite direction after spending weeks atop the rankings. No. 10 Boston Red Sox
Standings: 3rd in AL East

No. 9 Los Angeles Dodgers
Standings: 2nd in NL West
Last Week's Ranking: 5th
Outlook: It was an up and down week for the Dodgers as the squad ended last week's games at .500. Los Angeles will have some Pennsylvania visitors as they host the Phillies then Pirates this week. With the Giants struggling, the door is open for the Dodgers to move up in the NL West. (Getty)

Standings: 1st in AL Central
Last Week's Ranking: 8th
Outlook: It was a challenging week for the Indians. They dropped three out of four games to the Twins then lost two of three games on the road to the Yankees. No. 7 Toronto Blue Jays
Standings: 2nd in AL East
Last Week's Ranking: 6th
Outlook: The Blue Jays started the week off strong by winning three out of four games against the Astros. Toronto dropped the next series to the Royals. They will spend the week at home against the Rays followed by a rematch with the Astros. Aside from taking the Astros series, the Blue Jays have struggled over the past few weeks. (Getty)

Standings: 1st in AL East
Last Week's Ranking: 7th
Outlook: The Orioles had a good week with series wins against the Rangers and White Sox. They will head to California this week for series against the A's and Giants. Baltimore is doing their best to hold off the Blue Jays who are nipping at their heels for the AL East. (Getty)

Standings: 1st in NL West
Last Week's Ranking: 4th
Outlook: The Giants have hit a rough patch and lost both series last week. After dropping two out of three to the Phillies, they dropped another series to a thriving Nationals team. The Giants are no longer the best team in baseball and are trending in the wrong direction. They travel to Miami to take on the Marlins then host the Orioles. (Getty)

Standings: 2nd in AL Central

Outlook: The Tigers started last week off by taking two of three games against the White Sox and got the same result in their series against the Mets. They are battling the Cubs for the title of the hottest team in baseball. Standings: 1st in AL West

Outlook: After losing a series in Baltimore to start the week, the Rangers rebounded by taking two out of three against the Astros. They have a home-and-away series against the Rockies then finish up the week against the red-hot Tigers. (Getty)

Outlook: It was a strong week for the Nationals with a series sweep of the Diamondbacks, and Washington took two of three games in their rematch with the Giants.
