Anyone who has watched LSU running back Leonard Fournette trample over defenders knows it’s only a matter of time before he’ll be doing the same on NFL fields.

Fans won’t have to wait until he’s drafted to see it, though, as Fournette and No. 5 LSU travel to Green Bay this weekend to take on Wisconsin at the famed Lambeau Field.

The talented junior enters the 2016-17 college football campaign as the Heisman favorite and projected No. 1 overall pick next April, but he’ll get a stiff opening test against a stingy Badgers defense under new defensive coordinator Justin Wilcox.

“They’re very fundamental,” Fournette said. “Their end No. 47 (Vince Biegel), he’s talented, man. It’s going to be an interesting matchup. We just have to play our job, do what we have to do.”

Of course, the Tigers may get some tips from new defensive coordinator Dava Aranda, who came over from Wisconsin in January, but this figures to be one of the most compelling matchups of college football’s opening weekend.
