In past years, the Packers would be a big favorite over the Titans, regardless of where the game was being played. But given the recent state of the Packers offense, Green Bay is just a three-point favorite visiting Nissan Stadium this week.
Tennessee is coming off a narrow loss at San Diego, and Marcus Mariota has been playing well. They’ve scored 71 points in their last two outings, and Rishard Matthews has 5 touchdown catches in his last five games.
The added passing threat is huge for the Titans, who started the season as a run-first offense. DeMarco Murray is still the priority, but things could be difficult on the ground against Green Bay’s top-ranked rushing defense.
The Packers struggles on offense have been real, and Rodgers can expect to see some serious pressure on Sunday. The Titans are fifth in the NFL with 23 sacks, so expect Rodgers to be scrambling often behind a struggling line.
If Green Bay can score first, they can stuff the run on defense and keep the Titans one-dimensional. But if Marcus Mariota can get things moving early, Tennessee could be in the mix in the final minutes.
