England’s first trophy of 2017 is almost ready to be handed out, as finalists converge on Wembley Stadium for the EFL Cup Final. Southampton has already punched their ticket, knocking off eight-time Cup winners Liverpool to advance to their first Cup final since 1979. The other finalist, either Manchester United or Hull City, will be determined Thursday afternoon.

Southampton have not won a major English title since the FA Cup in 1976, but first-year manager Claude Puel has them back in a final. Puel struggled with his new club earlier this season, but the Saints have now lost just once in their last six appearances. They were without two experienced center backs for the second leg match on Wednesday, but still managed to shut down one of the Premier League’s best attacks.

Manchester United have a 2-0 lead heading into the second leg, and are favored to advance. United have four League Cup trophies in their impressive cabinet, including three wins from 2006-2010.

The EFL Cup Final will be held February 26, 2017 at Wembley Stadium. Tickets to the match are not available online; the tickets are distributed evenly to the two qualifying clubs. Here is ticket information for Southampton supporters.
