One of the Seattle Seahawks‘ most impressive wins of the regular season came in Week 6, when they scored nine points in the final five minutes to knock off the Atlanta Falcons, 26-24.
If the ‘Hawks are going to advance to the NFC Championship for the third time in four years, they’re going to have beat their former defensive coordinator Dan Quinn’s squad once again. And this time, they’re going to have to do it on the road.
The Seahawks looked impressive in knocking off the Detroit Lions Saturday night, but things are about to get especially more difficult. Not only do the Falcons, led by MVP candidate Matt Ryan, serve as a much more formidable opponent, but the Seahawks have been merely average away from CenturyLink Field this year, going 3-4-1 on the road.
Atlanta figures to be favored by the oddsmakers in this one, but with Seattle’s postseason experience plus a running game that appears to finally be clicking once again, this could easily be the most entertaining matchup of the Divisional Round.
