Saul Canelo Alvarez vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. has the makings of a classic, but it’s not the only anticipated fight on the docket for Saturday night. Far from it, actually.
On the main PPV card, we’ve got two explosive middleweights in David Lemieux and Marcos Reyes, who have combined for 59 knockouts in 72 wins. We’ve got former world champ Lucas Matthysse, making his return to the ring after his loss to Viktor Postol 19 months ago. And we’ve got an undefeated battle between Joseph Diaz Jr. and Manuel Avila, a fight with that will have a major effect on the featherweight world title picture.
Throw in the presence of young rising stars such as Ryan Garcia, Marlen Esparza and Raul Curiel on the undercard, and it should be a highly entertaining night at the T-Mobile Arena.
