Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua will enter the ring in Miami on December 19 in one of the most anticipated boxing matches of the year.
The main event is an exciting showdown between two fighters with polar opposite upbringings in boxing.
Paul was a popular influencer and actor who had gradually upped his level of competition.
He started his career fighting YouTubers and former UFC fighters. He most recently defeated former middleweight world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
Joshua grew in popularity in a more traditional sense. He was a decorated amateur boxer, winning the gold medal at Super-heavyweight during the 2012 Olympics.
He eventually became the unified heavyweight champion of the world, where he successfully defended his titles five times.
Joshua has never taken a fight against a fighter like Paul. The closest comparison is when Joshua fought Francis Ngannou in March 2024, when he scored a brutal second-round KO.
Despite the change of pace for Joshua, he’s not taking the challenge in front of him lightly.
“Anything can happen when you step in that ring,” Joshua said. “I want him to pray for my opponent (Paul), cause he’s going to need it.”
The main event will take place at Kaseya Center in Miami, but the fight only caps off a great night of boxing.
Here is the full undercard and main card for December 19.
Preliminary Card
When: December 19, 4:45 p.m. ET

An undisputed championship bout on the prelims is a testament to how deep this card is. Johnson became the undisputed champion when she defeated Shurretta Metcalf in July and is defending her undisputed status against the undefeated Galle.
Dubois, who is the brother of former heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois, is making her third defense of her lightweight title against Panatta, who is making her championship debut.

Silva and Woodley are both former Paul opponents and former UFC fighters. Woodley lost to Paul by unanimous decision in their first fight and was violently knocked out in their second fight.
Silva lost to Paul by unanimous decision in a fight that was considered to be a close contest.
