2026 Topps Flagship Football officially releases Friday, August 21, bringing Topps’ primary fully licensed NFL set back to collectors for the first time in more than a decade.

The release combines a 400-card base set with the 2026 rookie class, NFL stars and legends, while offering Hobby, Jumbo and several retail configurations at very different price points. For collectors buying on release day, Topps lists Hobby boxes at $119.99, Jumbo boxes at $269.99, Mega boxes at $49.99 and Value boxes at $24.99.

Here is what collectors need to know about the 2026 Topps Flagship Football checklist, prices and boxes.

2026 Topps Flagship Football Checklist Features Fernando Mendoza, Jeremiyah Love

Topps built its return to Flagship Football around a 400-card base set covering veterans, rookies, Future Stars, team cards and other subsets.

The rookie checklist is headlined by No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza along with Jeremiyah Love, Carnell Tate, Ty Simpson and other members of the 2026 NFL Draft class. Established stars including Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen and Joe Burrow are also featured, along with legends such as Tom Brady, Peyton Manning and Drew Brees.

The chase extends well beyond the base rookie cards.

Topps brought Golden Mirror Image Variations to football, while the new 1957 Rookie Variations place members of the 2026 class on the classic 1957 Topps Football design. Autograph sets include Flagship First Signatures and Flagship First Dual Signatures, while Super Bowl Champions Signatures add another group of established NFL names.

Collectors can also find short prints and inserts including All Kings, Touchdown! and Billboard Material.

The complete checklist is available through Topps.

How Much Does 2026 Topps Football Cost?

Topps’ direct pricing gives collectors a significant spread depending on how they want to open the product.

The Hobby Box costs $119.99 and includes 20 packs with 12 cards per pack, giving collectors 240 cards. Each box includes one autograph or memorabilia card.

The Jumbo Box costs $269.99 and contains 10 packs with 40 cards each. That means 400 cards total, with one autograph and one relic card guaranteed per box.

For retail buyers, Topps lists the Mega Box at $49.99 with 180 cards and the Value Box at $24.99 with 72 cards. Topps also created Hanger, Fat Pack, Super Box and Fanatics configurations, giving the Flagship release a much wider retail footprint than a typical Hobby-only product.

Availability can change quickly on release day, so collectors should compare Topps with authorized hobby shops and other official retailers before paying secondary-market prices.

Which 2026 Topps Flagship Football Box Is Best?

For most collectors, the $119.99 Hobby Box offers the most balanced entry point.

It provides 240 cards and a guaranteed autograph-or-relic hit without requiring the $269.99 commitment of Jumbo. That should appeal to collectors who want to build the set while still chasing numbered parallels, variations and premium cards.

Jumbo makes more sense for collectors prioritizing hits or attempting to build the base set quickly. Its 400 cards equal the size of the entire base checklist before duplication is considered, and unlike Hobby, every box guarantees both an autograph and a relic.

Mega and Value provide lower-cost alternatives, but the reason to choose them goes beyond price. Topps has created format-specific content, including Mega Crackle cards in Mega boxes and Football-pattern parallels in Value boxes.

That variety matters because 2026 Topps Flagship Football is more than another NFL card release.

Topps returned as the NFL’s exclusive licensed trading-card partner earlier this year, and 2025 Topps Chrome Football marked its initial high-profile return to fully licensed NFL products. Flagship now represents another milestone: the revival of the company’s traditional football set for the first time since 2015.

For collectors who grew up with Topps Football, that history is part of the attraction. For everyone else, Mendoza, Love and the rest of the 2026 rookie class provide the immediate chase.

Where to Buy 2026 Topps Flagship Football

Collectors can buy 2026 Topps Flagship Football directly from Topps and through major retailers, although the available box formats and prices vary.

Topps says the product becomes available on Topps.com at 1 p.m. ET on August 21. The company lists Hobby boxes for $119.99, Jumbo boxes for $269.99, Mega boxes for $49.99 and Value boxes for $24.99. (Topps)

Target also has 2026 Topps Football available online on release day. As of Friday morning, Target listed the Mega Box for $49.99 and the Value Box for $24.99, with both showing as in stock online. Target also lists a Hanger Box for $14.99. Availability for shipping, pickup and individual stores can vary by location. (Target)

Fanatics has several configurations listed as well. Its Hobby Box is priced at $129.99 and its Jumbo Box at $279.99, with both listed as app-only product drops. Fanatics also has a $29.99 Fanatics-exclusive Value Box, which includes retailer-exclusive content and was available to reserve with shipping scheduled on or before September 4. (Fanatics)

Topps also confirms a Walmart-exclusive Mega Box featuring White and Blue parallels and additional numbered versions. However, collectors should check Walmart directly for local or online availability; a live release-day listing was not readily available Friday morning.

Hobby boxes should also reach participating local card shops and online hobby dealers. Because release-day inventory can move quickly, collectors should compare prices with Topps’ direct MSRP before paying a premium on the secondary market.
