
Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Ty Simpson took to his Instagram to announce that the 22-year-old has signed an NIL deal with the most popular sports drink in the world, Gatorade.
The announcement was accompanied by a 30 second video that showcased Simpson working out at Alabama’s facilities.
No contract details or financial details have been made available at this time.
The deal comes just 72 hours before Simpson and the 17th ranked Crimson Tide will compete on the biggest stage of his career, going to Athens to take on the 5th ranked Georgia Bulldogs.

This deal marks Simpson’s sixth NIL deal.
EA Sports was the first to pay Simpson as a sophomore as part of their NCAA College Football game. In the same vein, Simpson signed a deal with Amazon during a March Madness promotion in 2024.
The quarterback signed a multi-year deal with Harbin Automotive in Scottsboro, Alabama last July, a full year before he became the starting quarterback at the University of Alabama.
This summer Simpson signed a deal with Yea Alabama alongside several of his teammates. The company is the main merchandiser for the football team.
He also has a deal with popular clothing brand Hugo Boss, signed just over a month ago.
“Repped by QB Reps, Simpson also landed a partnerships with EA Sports, Raising Cane’s, Hollister, Panini and Topps. Additionally, he joined forces with the Alabama-focused NIL collective, Yea Alabama, to as part of the Crimson Tide Outdoors program. Simpson has a $948,000 On3 NIL Valuation,” Nick Schultz writes.
This deal surely makes the Crimson Tide signal caller a one million dollar man.

Simpson has definitely earned his money since the Week 1 stinker in Tallahassee.
He set a school record Week 2 against Louisiana Monroe, completing all 17 of his pass attempts in his one half of play. He racked up 226 yards through the air and four total touchdowns in the 73-0 victory in the team’s home opener.
The next week they hosted a Big Ten opponent in Wisconsin. The quarterback completed 24 of his 29 passes in another winning effort. Tossing for 382 yards and four touchdowns, while keeping his season interception total at zero in the 38-14 victory.
Now he will go on the road again, this time between the Hedges in Athens.
In true Kirby Smart fashion the Georgia head coach was talking up the junior quarterback at his press conference.
“I would say he’s probably the hottest quarterback, right now, in all of college football,” Smart told reporters. “His 2 last outings, I don’t know that I’ve seen an incompletion. The ball does not hit the ground.”
Fans are expecting another instant classic between two teams that never disappoint.
A few statistics worth pointing out, in his career Kirby Smart holds a record of 1-6 against Alabama. His record against all other teams in college football combined is 107-13.
The Crimson Tide are 1-9 in their last ten games on the road against Georgia.
Georgia has not beaten Alabama in Athens since 2003.
