The Arizona Diamondbacks got news about Ketel Marte during their new series against the Cincinnati Reds.
The Diamondbacks had a strong opening game against the Reds. They had strong performances from Corbin Carroll, Gabriel Moreno, Jordan Lawlar, and Taylor Clarke to secure a 9-0 victory.

Reportedly, Marte was spotted gambling at the Talking Stick Resort on Friday night.
Dbacks Territory X account shared an image and video of the reported event.
Another X account shared a post about this.
“I wasn’t gonna post this news. Been sitting on this since 5:50pm. I went to confirm after 5 people texted me about it. It was a matter of time it got out. I’m not an insider but if someone sends me news, I’ll retweet it,” the account shared.
Marte was recently moved to the IL after being placed on the restricted list. The 32-year-old second baseman recorded 21 home runs prior to this injury.

Following the Diamondbacks’ victory, manager Torey Lovullo reacted to the news regarding Marte being at the Casino.
“He’s free to do whatever he wants as long as he wakes up tomorrow.. and gets his work done at Salt River (Fields), which I am certain he will, that’s all that matters to be right now,” Lovullo said via a clip shared by Cameron Cox.

Arizona sports show host, John Gambadoro shared a post reacting to this information.
“Yes, he has been there for four hours, this is a terrible look. NOT illegal not breaking any laws but come on. Team is battling for their playoff lives and you are supposed to be hurt, and you spend four hours at the Casino sitting standing, sitting, standing. Stay home! The Marte act is old and tired, and it needs to end ASAP,” Gambadoro shared.

The Diamondbacks will look to win the series against the Reds by winning game 2.
The second game will feature a pitching battle between Rhett Lowder and Michael Soroka. The Diamondbacks come into the game with a 68-61 record.
The San Diego Padres currently occupy the final National League Wild Card spot. Right behind them are the Diamondbacks.
Winning today’s contest will be another positive step towards the dream of making the 2026 postseason.
