Amid the team’s hot streak, ESPN’s Buster Olney urged the Red Sox to make a move.

Olney (via Get Up): “Chad Tracy their manager took over. He still has the interim tag. Does anyone think that he’s going to be let go before the end of the regular season? How about taking that interim tag off Chad Tracy? He has done a great job. The Red Sox are doing this against really good teams. Look, they they swept the Dodgers, then they sweep the White Sox. Pretty amazing.”

On Friday, the Red Sox will remain at home to host the Athletics.

Bob Nightengale: “The Boston Red Sox’s sweep over the Chicago White Sox marked their sixth sweep over a team who entered the series in first place. It’s the first time time a team has swept six first-place teams in a single season since the Expansion era in 1961, per @EliasSports.”
