Following their victory, the Yankees announced that they had made a roster move.
The Yankees wrote (via X): “Following tonight’s game, the Yankees optioned RHP Jake Bird to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.”

Bird let up four hits and three earned runs (in one inning) during Monday’s game.
Gary Phillips of NY Daily News Sports wrote: “The #Yankees optioned Jake Bird to Triple-A.
Kervin Castro, Yerry De los Santos and Angel Chivilli are options on the 40-man roster, though the Yanks also have open spots.”

Bird was picked in the fifth round of the 2018 MLB Draft.
He spent part of four seasons with the Colorado Rockies (before getting traded to the Yankees).
Right now, the 30-year-old is in his fifth MLB season (and second in New York).
