With the season well underway, it’s worth pointing out that the Yankees have a former World Series Champion playing on their Triple-A team.

Montero’s MLB Career

Montero spent the first four years of his MLB career playing for the New York Mets.

The 35-year-old then had stints with the Texas Rangers and Seattle Mariners before joining the Houston Astros.

Montero broke out into a very reliable pitcher in Houston, as he had a 3.82 ERA in 187 games.
He also helped them win the 2022 World Series Championship over Bryce Harper and the Philadelphia Phillies.
This past season, Montero had stints with the Atlanta Braves and Detroit Tigers.

With their latest win, the Yankees are now 20-10 in 30 games, which has them as the first-place team in the American League East.
They are an excellent 12-5 in the 17 games they have played on the road outside of the Bronx.
Following the Rangers, the Yankees will head home for a series with the Baltimore Orioles that starts on Friday night.
