On Tuesday night, the New York Yankees will open up their series with the Texas Rangers (at home) in the Bronx.

The Yankees are coming off a sweep of the Baltimore Orioles (also at home).

While they are among the hottest teams in the MLB, the Yankees have been playing without Giancarlo Stanton since April 24.

Ahead of Tuesday’s game, Aaron Boone revealed the latest update on Stanton.

Bryan Hoch of MLB.com wrote: “Giancarlo Stanton (right calf) has yet to resume running. The injury is lingering “a little bit,” Aaron Boone said, and they haven’t wanted to push it.”

While the news is somewhat disappointing, there is no rush for Stanton to return to the lineup with the team playing so well.

His health for the MLB playoffs will be more important.

Before the injury, Stanton had been batting .256 with 23 hits, three home runs, 14 RBI’s, eight runs and one stolen base in 24 games.
