Taylor Floyd is the girlfriend of San Francisco Giants pitcher Carson Whisenhunt.
Floyd has been by Whisenhunt’s side for all of his biggest games, including his appearance in the 2025 MLB All-Star Futures Game in Atlanta.
With Whisenhunt set to make his debut on Monday July 28, 2025, his biggest game yet, Floyd is sure to make her way out to San Francisco soon to watch her boyfriend pitch in the MLB.

1. She Grew Up Cheerleading
Whisenhunt isn’t the only athlete in the relationship.
Taylor Floyd was an elite cheerleader growing up, cheering with the SSX Sharks of Cheer Extreme Allstars in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was a two-time USASF World Champion with the Sharks, according to her LinkedIn.
She even went on to cheer in college as a member of the North Carolina State University Varsity team.
2. She Majored in Engineering
Floyd was not just an all-star cheerleader, but an all-star student as well.
After earning a 4.62 GPA and Salutatorian honors in high school, Floyd enrolled at North Carolina State as a double major in Chemical Engineering and Paper Science Engineering.
In addition to working hard at academics, and cheering at NC State, Floyd was a member of the Alpha Delta sorority.
She also had several internships and was a part of multiple engineering societies while in school and graduated in May 2025.
3. She Works At Eli Lilly and Company
One of the internships that Floyd had while in college was a four month summer engineer internship from May 2024 until August 2024 with Eli Lilly and company.
Right out of graduation, Floyd is now a full-time engineer at Eli Lilly, which is a top American pharmaceutical company.
Floyd, like Whisenhunt, is building quite the accomplished young career.
4. She is a Big Country Music Fan
Floyd has an Instagram story profile on her account entirely dedicated to posts about music, and the vast majority of those are about country music artists.
Riley Green seems to be Floyd’s favorite artist, she posts about him the most.
“This is just a Riley Green fan account at this point,” she captioned one story.
She also loves to frequently post about Morgan Wallen, George Strait and Zach Bryan.

5. Floyd and Whisenhunt Recently Hard Launched Their Relationship
Earlier this year, in January 2025, Carson Whisenhunt and Taylor Floyd took to Instagram to hard launch their relationship.
Whisenhunt was the first to break the news with an Instagram post on January 12, 2025, with the caption “Something different”.
Three days later on January 15, 2025, Floyd posted the same photo accompanied by one more flick of the couple with the caption “All smiles”.
It’s worth noting that Floyd is something of an influencer; she actually has more Instagram followers than her MLB boyfriend. As of July 28, 2025, Floyd has over 26.5k Instagram followers while Whisenhunt has only 4,584.
It’s unclear how long the two have known each other; they did both grow up in and go to school in North Carolina.
But since January, fans have loved seeing the two of them (especially Floyd) post photos together.
