
On Saturday, the Washington Nationals played their second game of the season when they lost to the Chicago Cubs by a score of 10-2.
They are now 1-1, and will look to win the series on Sunday (at Wrigley Field).

After Saturday’s loss, the Nationals announced that they had made a trade with the Chicago White Sox.
The Nationals wrote: “We have acquired UTIL Curtis Mead from the Chicago White Sox in exchange for C Boston Smith.”
Mead is coming off a season where he appeared in 90 games for the White Sox (and Tampa Bay Rays).
He batted .233 with three home runs, 19 RBI’s, 26 runs and five stolen bases.

The Nationals and White Sox are both coming off tough seasons where they missed the MLB playoffs (at the bottom of their divisions).
They are each in rebuilding mode.
