Taylor Swift has been cheering on Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs during the team’s 2025-26 season, which sadly ended early with their final regular season game on January 4, 2026, against the Las Vegas Raiders. But, now it’s officially Grammy season. So, will Taylor Swift be at the Grammys, and is she nominated for any awards?
The last time Swift attended the Grammy Awards was in 2025. That year, she shared a key on stage with Beyoncé after presenting her with the award for Best Country Album.
“I’d like to thank all of the incredible country artists that accepted this album,” Beyonce said after accepting the award from Swift. “We worked so hard on it. I think sometimes genre is a code word to keep us in our place as artists, and I just wanna encourage people to do what they’re passionate about and to stay persistent.”
Well, Swift actually missed an opportunity at this year’s Grammy Awards. So, let’s get into what she missed out on, as well as the status of her attending.
Taylor Swift and the 2026 Grammys
Let’s start with the big question. Will Swift be at the Grammys in 2026? She’s not expected to go. A report from Grammy Awards executive producer Ben Winston, she’s not expected to be there, nor is Kelce.
“The only reason people think Taylor might be performing or coming is because HITS decided to print it this week and put it in their HITS List, and it was picked up globally,” Winston told HITS in an interview.
“But HITS just totally made that up. And now I am getting asked about it by you, as if it’s a real thing, when it was made up in your office,” he added, saying that it’s a “full-circle rumor.”
Is Taylor Swift Nominated for Any Grammys?
So, is Taylor Swift nominated for any Grammys this year? The answer is no, because she released her album after the eligibility period, which ended on August 30. For the annual Grammy Awards, the only music that qualifies dropped between August 31, 2024 and August 30, 2025.
So, Swift fans and those who want to see her 2025 album “The Life of a Showgirl” up for awards will have to wait until 2027. That means Swift missed an opportunity to be included this year, but that also gives her something to look forward to in the future.
“The Life of a Showgirl” dropped on October 3, 2025. It ended the year at No. 1 on the Recording Industry Association of America’s (RIAA) tally of top-certified albums of the year for 2025, according to Billboard. That’s a huge accomplishment knowing that it didn’t come out until October.
What’s exciting news is that the album is also the fastest-selling album of all time in the U.S. and spent 12 weeks on top of the Billboard 200 chart.
“I’ll never forget how excited I was in 2006 when my first album sold 40,000 copies in its first week,” Swift wrote on social media after it dropped. “Here we are all these years later and a hundred times that many people showed up for me this week.”
Even though Swift isn’t nominated for any Grammy Awards this year, but it’s not for a bad reason. “The Life of a Showgirl” was released after the eligibility period, so it will likely be up for awards at next year’s event. In total, Swift has won 14 Grammy Awards and has been nominated 58 times, so she certainly doesn’t need the acclaim.
