Travis Kelce quietly stepped away from the NFL’s Pro Bowl this week — and that single move may open the door for something fans have wanted since he and Taylor Swift went public: a major red carpet moment together.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end will not participate in the Pro Bowl flag football event, which takes place February 3 in San Francisco during Super Bowl week. Instead, Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid will replace Kelce, with Bills beat reporter Jay Skurski confirming Kincaid was named an “injury replacement.”
Kelce, 36, has earned 11 Pro Bowl selections during his 13-year NFL career. This year, however, he is not part of the postseason after the Chiefs missed the playoffs.
Now, his cleared schedule is drawing attention.

Kelce and Swift previously made a public appearance together in June 2025 when they walked hand in hand into Tight End University in Nashville. Kelce co-founded the annual event with George Kittle and Greg Olsen, and a video posted by the Tight End University Instagram account showed the couple smiling as they entered.
While that marked their first red carpet-style moment, it was far from the scale of the Grammy Awards.

On the January 22 podcast, DeuxMoi reported that Swift was spotted at the Yellowstone Club, skiing and dining with friends, including Cara Delevingne and the Haim sisters. The outlet noted that phones are discouraged in certain areas and members are asked not to engage celebrities unless approached first.
Fans of Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast also speculated that subtle background details in a recent episode suggested the couple was lying low at the exclusive resort.
Meanwhile, both families appear to be growing closer.
Swift’s mother, Andrea Swift, and Kelce’s mother, Donna Kelce, were photographed together at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, on January 25.
Swift and Kelce announced their engagement in August 2025 with a joint Instagram post that read, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
For now, Kelce remains out of the Pro Bowl, Swift remains out of the awards race, and fans are watching closely.
