“Like a lot of people I was brought up watching the FA Cup and you have a duty to really respect the club you’re managing and their history,” Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson said of the team’s matchup against Chelsea, per BBC.com.
“When you go around the Wrexham area, the game most supporters will still talk about is that Arsenal game with Mickey Thomas all those years ago, and the highlights will often be on the TV when the FA Cup comes back around again,” Parkinson added.
“But I said to the players before the Forest game this is our chance now to make more memories. We did that and have earned the right for this, so can we make some more memories on Saturday evening?”

Wrexham is likely hoping that Chelsea will be looking ahead to their upcoming Champions League matchup against PSG. It is champagne problems, but Chelsea is facing the difficult reality of balancing the FA Cup, Champions League and Premier League schedules.
Chelsea is a massive favorite to defeat Wrexham at -210, per FanDuel. Wrexham is +480 to pull off the upset against the Premier League power. Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior is doing his best to make sure the club is not overlooking Wrexham.
“We know it will be a really difficult game,” Rosenior noted, per Yahoo Sports. “It’s a club that’s on the rise, and there is good energy and a good vibe around. It’s hard to play against that, so we will take the game really seriously.”
Chelsea takes on PSG in the Champions League on Wednesday, March 11, at 4 p.m. on Paramount+. Wrexham battles Hull City on Tuesday, March 10, at 3:45 p.m. on Paramount+.
