The 17-year-old up-and-coming rapper RondoNumbaNine, whose real name is Clint Massey, is caught up in murder charges. Read on for the facts.
1. RondoNumbaNine Is Charged With the Murder of a Cab Driver

According to The Chicago Tribune, RondoNumbaNine is charged in the fatal shooting of a livery driver last month in Wentworth Gardens.
Clint Massey, who performs as “RondoNumbaNine,” was ordered held in lieu of $2 million bail Sunday at Cook County Bond Court.
2. There Was Apparently a Second Shooter

Rapper RondoNumbaNine apparently didn’t act alone in the alleged murder. The Chicago Tribune writes that:
Massey, of the 6600 block of South Honore Street in the West Englewood neighborhood, was one of two gunmen who fatally shot Javan Boyd early on Feb. 22, according to court records and Assistant State’s Attorney Robert Mack … Boyd, 28, who worked for a South Side dispatch service, was sitting in his car waiting for a passenger when Massey and the co-offender approached the passenger side door, Mack said.
3. The Shooting Was Supposedly a Form of Retaliation

Reportedly, RondoNumbaNine and another shooter drove to the 3700 block of South Princeton Avenue around 4 a.m. on the day of the murder and a witness supposedly watched the two men shoot Javan Boyd.
4. His Fingerprints Were Found on the Victim’s Car
The victim was reportedly shot 7 times and RondoNumbaNine’s prints were said to have been found on the victim’s vehicle.
5. Several of RondoNumbaNine’s Music Videos Involve a Lot of Guns
RondoNumbaNine’s had a great deal of success on YouTube, though many of his YouTube and Instagram posts involve guns and violence with words like “I murder shit,” and “Ya nobody to sumbody kills u.” MTV reports on his online success writing:
RondoNumbaNine hasn’t broken through as a rapper on a national scale, but his “Hang Wit Me” remix video has amassed more than 1.3 million views on YouTube. The clip, which was shot in an alleyway, finds Rondo and members of his crew smoking marijuana and flashing guns for the camera.
