Cole Winn: Breaking News

The Rangers activated Winn from the 15-day injured list Tuesday. Winn served the minimum 15 days on the IL after being shut down with right arm fatigue on April 24. The 26-year-old's rehab assignment with Triple-A Round Rock went according to plan, clearing him to return to the big-league club. Luis Curvelo was optioned to Round Rock on Sunday to make room for Winn on the active roster.

Winn (arm) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Round Rock on Friday. Winn hasn't pitched since May 23 due to arm fatigue, but he appears ready to see game action. The right-hander has pitched to a 5.59 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 23:7 K:BB across 19.1 innings out of the Texas bullpen this season.

The Rangers placed Winn on the 15-day injured list Sunday due to right arm fatigue. The arm fatigue may have played a part in Winn's poor showing in a 5-2 loss to the Angels on Saturday, when he retired one of the three batters he faced and was charged with two earned runs on two hits. Texas recalled right-hander Gavin Collyer from Triple-A Round Rock to replace Winn in the bullpen.
