Treadwell and the Colts agreed to terms on a one-year contract Friday, James Boyd of The Athletic reports. Treadwell opened the 2025 campaign on the Colts' practice squad before being signed to the active roster in early November. He was used almost exclusively on special teams and did not record a target across 10 regular-season games last year. Treadwell will likely reprise his role as a special teamer for the 2026 season.
The Colts signed Treadwell to the active roster from their practice squad Saturday, Amanda Foster of the team's official site reports. Treadwell played exclusively on special teams during the two games he was elevated to the active roster for. However, the 2016 first-round pick could be in line for an increased role during Sunday's matchup versus the Falcons, as Anthony Gould is questionable with a knee injury.
Treadwell reverted to Indianapolis' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log. Treadwell was elevated ahead of Sunday's Week 9 contest against Pittsburgh and played 13 snaps, all on special teams. His chance to play came largely as a result of Anthony Gould (knee) missing the matchup. Treadwell has been elevated twice so far this season, though he's yet to log an offensive snap.
