Winning the Masters Tournament gets you into an exclusive club.

Sure, you get to have a Masters victory on your resume and you get to take a nice green jacket.

But I’m talking about the Masters Club. And on the Tuesday before Thursday’s tee off, the club gets together for the Champions Dinner, an event just for the winners. It’s also a night when they introduce the prior year’s Masters victor to the club.

And now the fun part: the previous year’s winner gets to choose the menu for the Champions Dinner, which has been a staple since 1952 at the suggestion of Ben Hogan.

Well, the 2014 winner was Bubba Watson. But Bubba was already in the club after winning the 2012 tournament.

His menu for the 2013 dinner: Caesar salad, grilled chicken breast, green beans, mashed potatoes, corn and macaroni and cheese with cornbread.

OK, maybe Watson is lacking in creativity or he just really likes chicken and mashed potatoes. The Southern-inspired meal must have been a hit last time since the old champs don’t need to eat what the new champ selects. If they don’t like it, they can order off Augusta National’s regular menu. Why would he pick it again if it wasn’t popular?

The meal didn’t serve as a good luck charm for Watson in 2013, though. He finished tied for 50th.

It remains to be seen what his Winner Winner Chicken Dinner will do for him in 2015.
