Oregon Debuts New Helmet & Uniforms Against Michigan State

There is no team in sports known more for their uniforms than the Oregon Ducks. Thanks to a strong relationship with Nike founder Phil Knight, the Ducks are always outfitted with unique uniforms. We would expect no less than a new combination tonight on primetime television against No. 5 Michigan State.

Oregon is debuting a new helmet tonight that they are calling their “Galaxy White” helmet:

The helmets will be paired with white jerseys and steel pants:

There are certainly some similarities to Oregon’s uniforms from the National Championship game against Ohio State:

Ducks fans hope that they will have better luck tonight with the new uniforms. Oregon was defeated 42-20 in the national championship.

This is a new season and Oregon is replacing Heisman Trophy quarterback Marcus Mariota with transfer Vernon Adams. Adams led the Ducks to victory last week against Eastern Washington where he was the quarterback last season. This week will provide the transfer quarterback with his first big test with the Ducks.

We will see if the new uni’s help the Ducks come up with a big road victory in East Lansing.
