Fantasy players tracking the recovery of Arian Foster rejoiced last week when he was declared active. That rejoicing quickly turned to regret, as Foster struggled to shake off the rust in a Texans blowout loss. While Foster didn’t receive his usual workload, it’s a positive sign that he finished the game without any health setbacks.
Foster is officially listed as probable for tonight’s meeting with the Colts.
Prepare yourselves: tonight is Foster’s night.
Against a defense that has struggled against the run, expect to see a breakout game from Foster in primetime. Despite their struggles the Texans haven’t been a bad rushing team, especially since installing Oday Aboushi at the guard position. Houston will be leaning on the ground game anyway, considering they will be without both Nate Washington and Cecil Shorts.
If Foster truly is healthy, he’ll be the Texans most important player Thursday. And that’s okay, because Foster has shredded the Colts in the past. In eight career games against the Colts, Foster has rushed for 960 yards and eight touchdowns.
All signs point to a big night from Foster. It’s about time.
