It had been a difficult week for Texas head coach Charlie Strong. Strong was criticized after their blowout loss to TCU. Texas upset No. 10 Oklahoma 24-17 and the players made sure to celebrate with their head coach.
Not only did the team lift up Strong in the air but they started throwing his entire body up in the air as Strong crowd surfed over his team.
After a dreadful 1-4 start to the football season, Texas stunned rival Oklahoma with a victory. After spending much of the week on the hot seat, it was a big victory for head coach Charlie Strong and was visibly excited after the game as the team lifted him up in the air.
He also made sure to celebrate with the bronze cowboy hat that is awarded to the winning team each game.
